About  Dan Schuck

Artist Bio: Dan Schuck

One element which makes music so powerful is its capacity to transport us somewhere special, even if just for a moment. Dan Schuck ignites imaginations and reels listeners in via his story-driven acoustic songs, with strong motivational and thought-provoking narratives presented throughout.

While he has spent the greater part of four decades developing his own sound, his music is not without a tasteful backdrop of influence from the likes of Paul Simon, James Taylor, Jim Croce and Willie Nelson to name just a few. His wide-ranging influences find its way into his solo material, and as a result, his solo acoustic sets are hard to pigeonhole.

Dan is an accomplished solo acoustic performance musician.  His live sets are a compelling mix of his own original material as well as fan favorite covers that engage and entertain  his audience.

Dan’s foray into music began at the early age of  7,  performing at campfire circles and as a member of the church folk choir.   By high school, gaining experience through high school bands and campus talent shows, Dan became a regular in the coffee-house open mic scene across San Diego.

In and out of bands throughout the 80s and 90s. Dan continued to refine his solo acoustic guitar act, which ended up taking him across the Southwest performing primarily in lounge venues.   Returning to live performances now after taking a few years off to raise a family and a career,  Dan is back and better than ever!

Dan is also an author, and has published the book ‘A Glass Half Empty? ...or Half Full? A Children’s Book for Grown-Ups,' available on Amazon and BarnesandNoble.com.  Today, he continues to build his career as a working musician, and welcomes gig opportunities in the Long Beach, Los Angeles and Orange County areas.
